Ahhhh….the first summer in the forest garden! So many of the seedlings and propagated plants have taken brilliantly and the whole garden is humming with insects.

We’ve a had a real success with the central pond, new life started to appear there within days of it being dug, and now it’s planted it has become home to many aquatic insects and our first amphibious visitor a Common Frog (Rana temporaria).

The areas where we’ve planted alot of Borage (Borago officinallis) are swarming with Bee’s and a good number of Common Blue Butterfly (Polyommatus icarus), a really lovely site! And the flowers are great in our salads!
